📘 About the Scholarship

The MEXT Scholarship (Monbukagakusho) is a fully funded opportunity provided by the Government of Japan through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). It allows international students, including Bangladeshis, to pursue:

• 🎓 Undergraduate
• 🎓 Master’s (Research Student)
• 🎓 PhD
• 🎓 Teacher Training
• 🎓 Japanese Language and Culture Studies

Applicants go through the Embassy Recommendation Track via the Ministry of Education (MoE), Bangladesh, and are selected by the Japanese Embassy in Dhaka.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Undergraduate – (17–25 years) SSC + HSC (12 years education)
• Master’s – Under 35, completed Bachelor’s degree
• PhD – Under 35, completed Master’s degree
• Teacher Training – Under 35, graduate + 5+ years teaching experience
• Japanese Studies -(18 – 30 years) currently studying Japanese in university

🟦 Additional Criteria:

• Must be a Bangladeshi citizen
• Must not have Japanese nationality
• Good academic record
• Physically and mentally fit
• Willing to adapt to life and study in Japan

  • Study Plan / Statement of Purpose
  • English Proficiency Certificate

• 📌 All documents must be in English or translated & notarized.

• ✍️ No Japanese language required (but helpful)
• ✅ No IELTS/TOEFL if English was your medium of instruction
• 🧾 No application fee
• 🧪 Selection includes a written test and interview
• 📍 Submit via Ministry of Education (MoE), Bangladesh, not directly to the Embassy
