📖 About the Scholarship

The Stipendium Hungaricum is Hungary’s flagship fully funded scholarship program for international students at Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-tier Master’s, Doctoral, and Non-degree levels.
It is managed by the Tempus Public Foundation and based on bilateral educational agreements between Hungary and over 90 partner countries.
The program offers world-class education, no tuition fees, a monthly stipend, accommodation support, and health insurance.

💰 Scholarship Benefits

• 🎓 Tuition-Free Education: No tuition fees for any program.

• 💵 Monthly Stipend:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-tier Master’s, and Non-degree: HUF 43,700/month (~€110–130)

  • Doctoral: HUF 140,000/month (€365) for first 4 semesters; HUF 180,000/month (€470) for last 4 semesters

• 🏠 Accommodation Support: Free dormitory OR HUF 40,000/month (~€120) rental contribution

• 🩺 Health Insurance: Full medical coverage + up to HUF 65,000/year (~€170–205) supplementary insurance

• 📚 Additional Perks: Free Hungarian language courses & cultural programs

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a citizen of an eligible partner country.

• Nominated by the sending partner of your country (usually Ministry of Education or relevant authority).

• Meet academic requirements for your chosen program.

• Proof of English (or Hungarian) proficiency.

• Must have a medical certificate proving good health.

• Motivation letter (min. 1 page).

• Academic transcripts & diplomas.

• Proof of language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent).

• Passport or National ID copy.

• Recent photo.

• Medical certificate.

• (For PhD applicants) Research plan & two academic reference letters.
